Conference Description
The Word of God instructs us to “set our affections on things above and not on things below” (Col. 3:2). Our affections reveal our hearts and “true religion,” says Jonathan Edwards, “consists in holy affections.” Paul urges us to have our minds in concert with our hearts and, above all else, to be disposed to love the glorious things of God. This year our pre-conference will focus on the tools we need to equip our passions, while the general conference will shine the spotlight on the only right object of our passions, the Lord Jesus Christ.

“How long O Lord” is the cry of the martyrs from under the altar in Revelation 6:10. Could Christ return in our time? What must occur before that can happen? What is the millennial kingdom we hear so much about? What role does the church play? There is a rich history of doctrinal diversity in church history concerning these questions. As iron sharpens iron, we can only benefit by gathering around the word of God to explore the answers. To this end, our conference this year will host three biblical expositors, each presenting their views for our consideration. May God be honored in all of our efforts to glorify Him.

Dr. Richard B. Gaffin, Jr. is Charles Krahe Professor of Biblical and Systematic Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary. He is a graduate of Calvin College (B.A.) and Westminster (B.D., Th.M., Th.D.). An ordained minister in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, he is also the author of several books, including Resurrection and Redemption; Perspectives on Pentecost; Calvin and the Sabbath; and most recently, By Faith, Not By Sight: Paul and the Order of Salvation. He has taught at Westminster since 1965. More at wts.edu.

Dr. Thomas Ice is Executive Director of The Pre-Trib Research Center, which he founded with Dr. Tim LaHaye. An Associate Professor of Systematic Theology at Liberty University and Seminary, he has authored and co-authored about 30 books and written hundreds of articles. He has served as a pastor for 15 years. He holds degrees from Howard Payne University (B.A.), Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M.), and Tyndale Theological Seminary (Ph.D.), and is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Wales. Dr. Kenneth L. Gentry, Jr. holds degrees from Tennessee Temple College (B.A.), Reformed Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and Whitefield Theological Seminary (Th.M.;T.h.D.). He is the Executive Director of GoodBirth Ministries, a Christian research and education ministry. He is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America and is the author of twenty books, most of which are in the field of biblical prophecy. His speciality is the Book of Revelation upon which he is currently writing a 1000 page commentary. More at his website |

Dr. Don Kistler is the founder of Soli Deo Gloria Ministries and president of Northampton Press. He is the author of A Spectacle Unto God: The Life and Death of Christopher Love, and Why Read the Puritans Today? and a contributor to many other books, including Justification by Faith ALONE! and Onward, Christian Soldiers: Protestants Affirm the Church.
